it could be the same ranch the spider bull came from. they sure look the same to me. im just saying.

I believe the Spider Bull was a free range animal, not in any high fence area like part of the Broadmouth operation!!!

I quit my Outdoor Life and Field & Stream magazine subscriptions a long time ago as I thought both were getting to PC and away from what they were both started for!!!

I guess I have trouble understanding the "still impressive" comments. At some level I suppose I do understand, because for any elk to grow a set like this is really something. On the other hand, to pen raise, all but force feed and pump full of specialized nutrients, isn't it amazing there aren't more elk like this? Oh wait, there are more each year! If we start raising elk like prized cattle, groomed daily, fed steriods and all sorts of who knows what, then envy their antler development, what does this say about us? I guess
I will have to just settle for a little 300+ bull each year that was actually born and lived in the wild.
To each his own, I guess, but I'm not terribly interested in the latest freak show concocted in the lab....

My comment never implied an acceptance of high fenced
hunts but merely a statement of fact that the bull has an
impressive rack.
