Haven't seen too many pictures of Muleys that have been taken yet this season so I figured I'd post these of my '06 muzzleloader buck before all the real big ones start rolling in and making mine look small. I had a great hunt as you can see, and took my best buck to date. I do know what the buck scores, but would be interested in hearing some of your guesses. Let's have 'em.

Good luck to all this fall!!

Nice pic !!! Since you asked for guesses Im going to say 23" wide and scores 172. Let me know. Always like seeing how close I am. Congrats also !!! Gary

Great buck. His antlers almost match the color of the mountains in the background.

Sweet man! That's a great looking buck. I'll venture a guess that he's 24" wide and gross scores 183 maybe?

Very nice buck! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-21-06 AT 11:56AM (MST)[p]I guess 167.. Very nice buck, great forks, good mass. Congrats

The more I look at the picture it looks bigger than my first guess, here is my second guess 175-180

Great looking High Country muley! It sure looks pretty similar to my BC early season muley so im gonna guess 170-175".

that is a great buck man! I hope I do as well. I would say he is with the few guessed already 170 class deer.

nice job.

Great great photo's..........thanks for sharing your hunt.....

hunts like that make the best memories ........and a great buck too, did the gorgeous country show you even bigger bucks??

Great looking buck and thanks for sharing the pictures.
I would guess 168" gross with minimal deductions for a net score close to the gross score.

Great pictures! Congratulations on a great hunt. I will guess 161" gross.
Thanks for sharing, Mike

I'm impressed with the score estimates, most of you were very close. We put the tape to him twice. The first time we came up right at 180" gross. The second time added up to about an inch and a half less, 178 4/8" gross.

I'm pretty sure we did a better job scoring the first time around. :)

Either way, I'm happy with him. He was a bit short in the main beam and lacked the inside spread to reach that 190" mark, but had everything else, and that was enough for me.

Awesome Buck! I love the long tines and the velvet hanging is unreal. Looks like some great country aswell. My guess was right around 180 - the first thing I thought when I saw the second picture was if only the main beams were a bit longer that thing might be slose to 190. Any way you look at him, he is a real beautiful buck and a trophy in anybodys book. Hope that I will be as furtunate.

What state?

Really nice buck! Great photos. I really like the colors so I had to photoshop your shot a bit to make them "pop." Nice job on the kill, awesome country too . . .

I am going to guess somewhere between 178 4/8"-180". If I'm right do I get a freee dozen arrows?;)

Great buck! I am truly jealous!

Preston,

Awesome buck! Congrats on one heck of an animal. That make a really cool mount with the velvet hanging down like that.

Gotta love it over there;)

Great buck.

Much Congratulations.
Also love the pictures with the set up, background, etc.

Great job.

Congrats man! That's a SOLID 180" buck! Nice n TALL with awesome forks...

Great work, nice lookin buck. Gotta love that high country living! I'm guessin 184 green

Are you planning on mounting that toad? It'd be pretty neat to see if your taxidermist can save the velvet to look as it did when you got him (or have you stripped the velvet off)?
