Here are some pics of Veks Washington high hunt. Another successful trip. I'll let him fill in any details he wants.

Awesome bucks man! I'd shoot either one, gotta love the mass on 'em!

Congratulatins on the nice bucks. You really make me jealous with these pictures because i wasn't able to hunt the high hunt this year do to college and baseball. My late tag makes it a little better though.

THAT IS A COOL 2 POINT. GOOD THING YOU WEEDED HIM OUT OF THE GENE POOL MAN! CONGRATS ON WHAT LOOKS LIKE A GREAT TRIP.

Right on! Looks like Vek has this High Hunt thing down. I think this is a coupla' years in row for him. Both of them bucks look pretty unique. Congrats to both of you guys.

Thanks for the comments, guys. No real rocket science - we're both in good shape, we pack light, have good binocs, good boots, good packs, minimal but good clothing, and we're ready to pack whatever down from (or up out of) wherever. No "daypacks" here, we both hunt with packframes on (modified to quiet them down), we both carry two pillowcases for meat and saw for skullcap, and both deer were fully boned out and taken to the trail or camp in one trip, sometimes long after dark. We didn't see our camp in daylight until the third day. Our camp was an 8' x 10' tarp, pads, and sleeping bags. We brought about 15 lbs too much food - still have to work on that. We sure ate well, though.

It took an entire day to pack two deer and camp down to the trailhead, from 10:00 am until dark, two trips.

We boned out my buddy's deer (the 4x4) about 15 feet from where I boned mine in '04. That was kind of neat.
