I am going out in two weeks, any guidance or information on the Flat top wilderness area. Any body that has hunted it ? What type of deer are in the area? Anything might help!
LAST EDITED ON Oct-04-06 AT 08:29AM (MST)[p]I think it really depends which part of the area you are planning on hunting. I've hunted parts of unit 12 during archery and deer are fairly easy to find. I've gone back for the second combined (around the 21st of October) and not found a deer (lots of sign but no deer). I think some of the lower country in 23 may be better that time of the year but I've never been there then.
I would make sure to have an elk tag though.
