Kentucky Killing Elk!!

I don't see peta and the other fools going after this town for killing a "beautiful animal" that was re-introduced!

Traditional >>>------->

the elk are a danger ? give me a break. easy solution put one pack of male and female canadian wolf and in two years no problem ! they will begone......

they are ignorant animals, they run right towards your head lights. never mind the fact that i was intoxicated, speeding and swerving off the road and saw the elk far enough in advance to take note that the animal had enough time to run towards your vehicle. what a retarded comment by that last dumb *ss.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-10-11 AT 07:53PM (MST)[p]Thats too bad, i have a feeling now that the shooting has started it won't take them long to head back up the mtn.

Unfortunately, the elk program has/is turning into a money making venture for some game commisioners and other big wheels. Way to much info for me to type as I use one finger but it's a shame what it has turned into. Paid for with RMEF funds and KY sportsmans dollars, and a few greedy individuals mess it all up.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-11-11 AT 11:28AM (MST)[p]arrowoneforme---Probably, and all the turkeys Utah got are on this BB! Did I say that---for shame, LOL!!! Just kidding guys!!!

Sounds to me that Ky is doing what needs to be done.

Don't see what the big deal is? There are too many of them in that area and causing problems, so they are sooting some, and trapping some for other states that want them. big deal.

There are always going to be conflicts with big game in populated areas. There are going to have to be compromises if things are going to be in balance. Sounds like KY is doing what they need to do to me also.

"To get the permits, however, residents first had to prove they had suffered property damage during visits from conservation officers. They had to follow existing hunting safety rules that keep them from shooting too close to roads or houses"

Yes and next year the same *****ing landowners will demand the depredation permits be unit wide and transferable. They have hired USO as a consultant and lobbyist.

They are also considering hiring SFW to lobby for a landowner owned raffle with tags to be sold at a new wildlife convention to be held in Louisville. Of course how the proceeds will be used will not be disclosed, but will be soon.

Thats hard to read. No appreciation or consideration for that matter. May be they need a few wolves and they will like the elk they have !!!
