Does anybody think it is like a woman that goes in for a face lift surgery or liposuction and just has some black eyes and swelling that might go down in a couple of weeks?
Maybe I am being too critical.
A friend of mine suggested taking his name off the post so I have had the moderator do it for me. I will now refer to him as ?THE DERMIST FROM IDAHO?.
For those that don't know what to look for in a good mount look at this mount and use it as an example of what not to do.
The ear buts are too short left one is 1? and right one is almost 2? off.
The ears are too low.
The eyes are two far apart.
There is too much clay around the eyes.
The eyes are sunk into all that clay two far.
The front of the neck is too flat and you can see wrinkles in the hide.
The arm pit hair on the right leg is pulled around and is on the outside of the leg.
The black patch of hair in-between the two front legs is pulled two the right side of mount and is not centered.
The arrow hole didn't even get sewed up and you can see it.
There were tee pins left in the hide still on the mount.
The horns are mounted too far away from the eye sockets and could be pointed two far forward.
There is pink paint in the ears.
The ears were not properly skinned out and part of the back of the ear is on the inside of the left ear.
The nose hair had been painted over and needed to be brushed off.
The lip on one side isn't properly tucked in.
I personally think his nose looks like a doe.
I have left him at a new taxidermist shop located in Sandy. I will show before and after photos when it is completed. It could be done in a few weeks but I am having them finish it for Christmas for money reasons.
