Well, he is right about the boot recommendation. Meindl Perfekt
Hunters are by far the best boots I have ever owned. I can't
believe I wasted my money on Danner's.
 
Glad you like those boots. Try the canadian and the alaskan, both are great boots too! The alaskan is much stiffer and the canadian is a bit stiffer than the perfekt hunter, but they are a taller boot too.
 
I wear the Meindl Perfect Light Hiker and love them.

I have the meindl "sheep hunter" the alaskan, but they are much, much stiffer. they are the go too boot for rugged terrain for sure. the perfect hunter is a great all around boot, but for goats in the rocks, the sheephunter and alaskan are the way to go. . .
