I have 4 points resident going into this year in utah. I am moving out of state here in a few months but will still be entered into the resident pool for this year. I would love nothing more than to burn my points and have a big bull tag for archery this year. I have been checking my draw odds and have a few tags i wanted to get your guys opinion on as i have never hunted them before...

Nebo
Nine Mile
Paunsagaunt

Deept Creek

I want an oppurtunity at a 350" bull... I know what you are all going to say, it will be tough I know that, but i hunt hard and have horses and have no problem hiking my ass off...

Which of these units would hold a bull/bulls of this caliber?

Let me know, thanks!

Not sure but have you checked the draw odds to see if you will have a better chance on some units as a NR?

Sorry to break it to you, but 4 points ain't squat. At least you have somewhat of a chance going archery. I would research the draw odds and go with the one that gives you the best chance at (even) drawing the tag. Get that first, then worry about a 350 bull. Good luck. Incidentally, for a 350 bull and of the units you mentioned and since you have horses and are willing to hunt hard, I would say go deep creeks.

I think I am well aware what 4 points will get me, that is the reason why I am looking at some of the poorest units in the state for archery...

Your really not telling me anything I don't already know...

Also, I have checked NR draw odds, and they are far worse than Resident..

You probably would have a fair shot at the Nine Mile Antrho tag as far as the draw goes. But a bull 350 caliber on this unit would be a miracle in my opinion,,, Yeah there is probably a few on the unit, but I would put good money down that you would not be able to find anything even in the 315 class if even a bull at all. This area has plunged and is still going down for multiple reasons. I would choose a different area if I were you.

I would look at the nebo unit. It's rough country, where as a 350 bull might be possible. I grew up on the unit and hunt it every year. Over the years have seen very few bull over 320, but if enough time was spent and work put in I would say that would be your best chance.
