Thanks for posting the pics, I can't believe the season opens in a only a few days, looks like you are hunting NE WA somewhere. Good luck this year. I am going to be on the sidelines most likely on the opener, waiting for the 2nd weekend and am going to spend most of my hunting time this fall trying to punch a branch antlered bull tag that I drew.

Those pictures need no words other than what you said last about partners and friends. Isn't hunting almost religion? I have no idea who you are but the smile on your faces and those pictures tell me you are much like all the other friends and family that can't wait to reunite this coming weekend for the hunt, friendship and memories...you got me pumped.

I drew the multi season tag and also have a ace in the hole with a late archery permit tag, but I think I'll take my two very young boys on at least a camping trip this weekend if nothing else.

Thanks for the pictures and great timing.

Love that area, we hunt there too. Great pics, can't wait only a couple days!!

I'll be back home in the Okanogan for the whole season this year. Been 16 years since I was there for hunting... and I'm not sure exactly why I've been away so long... other than life. Can't wait to hook-up with some buddies that have been buddies and hunting partners since I was in grade school.

good luck to all this year and be safe

I love deer camp pictures.
I showed your pictures to my fifteen year old son, he is disapointed that we are not going for the full week this year. I really do not think getting a buck matters that much to him. We enjoy camping, sitting around the fire after the hunt, farting, telling stupid jokes and scary stories, all that good stuff that goes with deer camp. Getting a buck is like icing on a cake, just makes everything that much better.
I asked him why he liked to go so much? and his reply was "because I go with you dad" just about tore me up.

Then I noticed he was eyeballing my beef jerky lol,
just kidding

There are only two types of people - The Hunters and the hunted,
I hunt.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-11-06 AT 02:24PM (MST)[p]Your buddies big 4pt must be a Conconully buck from the picture on main street? And from the looks of the pine trees, it was shot not too high out of the valley? Muckamuck maybe? Good luck this year!

the big four point was shot above salmon meadows, the picture was taken in our camp he forgot his camera that day during the kill!!
