Well after 3 days, many miles on our boots, and tough conditions, we managed to get our three bucks. They weren't the caliber of bucks we were holding out for, but with other commitments we figured we would take what we could get. The third day we decided to get awat from the crowds and go to a area we thought others might push them. By 11:30 our tags were filled with 20"4x3, 20"4x4, and 18"3x3. Those cured our itchy trigger finger, now we can head to Colorado where we can really hold out for good ones.

Whose are nice enough for a short hunt, Did it snow up there at all, Where in Co are you guys heading.

Yeah, we got about 3-4 inches on top of the mountain, but it didn't last long. And it was raining all night also, so if was really crunchy when it froze. The 4x3 was 24" Ijust noticed the misprint. We're hunting near Meeker.

Yeah George, I just never got around to gettin over there. We were gonna save that place for the last weekend, but now we don't have to go. Got the meat bucks out of the way, I can head hunt in CO.These three weeks can't go by fast enough, I think we're gonna be in for some snow(hopefully it waits til after we get there,'cuz I don't want to have dig a hole for that big army tent!!)Anyways, Thanks for the tips. Good luck, talk to you after the hunt, we can swap more stories.
