Just recently came across these pics in my e-mail. They are of a buck that was supposed to have been taken earlier this fall by a bow hunter from where I live. He was taken near where I live here in South Western Alberta. I haven't seen the buck yet but I understand he will go somewhere around 230 B&C. I'm sure we'll hear more about this beast in the future. Don't know all the details and I don't want to speculate. Congrats to the hunter, this is the third gagger buck he's taken in as many years,he's a real predator.

Here he is in the velvet.

Holy cow that's a PIG! I couldn't imagine shooting him, or even finding his sheds! lol he looks much better in Velvet me thinks...

That would be a tough one to score. Looks like if you turned that rack upside down, he would make a heck of a sturdy chair, or legs for a table! Any word on the downfall (or elusive escape) of 'OL MAC? Im kinda hopin he gets away this year. Call me selfish, but Id love to see next years velvet pics.

life IS good

That sucker's huge! That second pic looks like he's got the bud select crown on his head!

Awesome deer, but I don't see 230". He doesn't seem to have a very big frame. Maybe 24" outside, but THICK seems a little bit of an understatement. I would still shoot him given the chance. I would call him "little big buck".
