Wow, did you ever consider what that photo looks like? Nice buck, but I personally think that is a very poorly done photo. Next time, he should think about cutting the antlers off first, or taking the photo of the entire deer. Think about it a little!

First, great buck. I like charactor on the back. Good to see some Washington bucks on here.
Second, who cares how he cut it off. I do the same thing when I am not going to mount my deer. I just cut the hide off up high and bring the head and meat home. Ever thnk he might European mount it? This is a hunting sight, not a pretty little deer sight. It you don't want to see a head cut off you might try a new website with pictures of pretty flowers and granola bars. Take the negative posts somewhere else. I would rather see pictures of peoples bucks than read peoples complaints any day of the week.

Once again, great buck. Love the pictures!!

Thanks WAstickslinger. Sorry if I offended anyone, he quarted it up and just cut the head off and packed it out. I kind of was on the edge if I should post it or not but fiqured this is a hunting site and most people on here arent bothered by flesh and blood. Hes not having it mounted, just wanted to post a pic of my bros buck. Good hunting. James

Great job with the buck, thats awsome. Showing a little less blood isnt really that big a deal on a site like this, dont sweat it -left wing bunny huggers might like it if you didnt, but since when the hell do care what they like.

every post here gets the complainers it seems why can't they just keep it to themself i get real tired of it.
nice buck sorry about the moaners i'm not offended by any picture on the internet if i don't like it i look at something else.
tell the bro congatulations

I guess that will be one I won't be photographing next week. Congrats on a good deer, and thanks for posting.

My biggest complaint is the obvious waste of meat. You could ave gotten at least one or two soups or stews out of that neck..... ; ) j/k ( polarbear could have eatin' for a week)

First off congrats to your Bro.
Second I guess the pics are ok for a huntin site but what about years down the road when you want to relive the hunt and share the pics with family and friends and all you have are pics like these. I always try to set up my pics as best as possible cause I love to go back and look at past hunt pics and also love to share them with my family and friends, hunters and non-hunters alike. Just my .02

I wasnt there hunting, my brother stopped by my house on his way home and I took some pics of the head and him, If I was there I would have taken field photos. Bone, I agree about the few extra steaks he left there and told him he should do a better job butchering next time. Deerslam I think some bad pics are better than no pics. I do the same as you, try to always take field photos. I usually try to clean the animal up before the pictures also. But not all situations are the same. Didnt mean to offend anyone.

I for one am not offended. Well at least not by the pics. The bunny huggers maybe. Amazing how they always have to chime in with nothing good to say.

congrats to your bro...
great pics of a dead deer as stated above. blood is a major part of deer being dead. i'd much rather have some pictures than none at all.

It's funny how some people think that everyone should hunt, take pictures, butcher, and do everything else like they do. Not all have learned the so called proper way to cut or photograph an animal. Maybe it was his first deer. I know my family used to take pictures with the tongue hangin out and blood everywhere. This is a site to LEARN, not to be pushed away. It's sad to think someone is going cry over a stew dinner when the know a hand full of friends each year who stuck a big one and couldn't find it and just say "ah that sucks." I do agree to take full care of the animal and use every last piece of meat to feed my family, but strongly disagre on doggin some guy for a photo that he was willing to share with us. Keep the photos coming.

Here are my thoughts, if you look at my post on washington muley's you can see that the heads on our deer are off. Reason being for us is because we have heard stories of people stealing the deer. if the head is intact it is much easier to take that deer. We take them back to camp, hang them, skin them, then cut the head off and keep that with us in the back of the truck, also if you take it to a butcher why would you want the head left on? we cut the lower sections of the legs off also.

Anyways that is a dandy buck looks like he has some good "junk" on his horns.

That is an awesome trophy to take with a machete! Just kidding nice deer. Hell, blood and guts is just part of the game.

I am also not offended by the pics. Congratulations on a nice buck. Thanks for posting the pictures James!

thats a dandy little buck, congrats to your bro! how the hell anyone that would register on this site is offended by these pics is beyond me.... btw, is that some velvet still hangin on to the right side?

hmmm, poor guy wouldnt have gotten any action during the rut anyways with that nasty stuff hangin on there... maybe it's a good thing you 'removed' him from the gene pool... haha.
