What are the chances the rut will still be on durring my hunt? It is a rifle hunt with 75 tags. Has anyone had this tag in the past? Any suggestions? i should have a good chance at a great bull. Mike

I hunted that hunt last year and it one bugle about every 2 days. They were starting to herd up again with multiple bulls and cows and moving to lower, thicker country. Big bulls had left the cows already. Hope for cooperative weather.

I was on that hunt as well with a buddy, the weather last year was tough. LIke AAA said, sporadic bugling. We found them transitioning from the higher stuff into the lower stuff, found a couple of herds that were hanging out in the same area. Chased around a 340 class bull and a couple of 300's for a couple of days, buddy ended up killing a wounded dink 6x6 before the weather got really tough the last day.
