Lets do something.
We went deer hunting in south eastern Utah where we encountered more lion and dog tacks then deer. The few deer tracks that we did cut were followed by coyote or lion.
The state of deer in Utah is completely negligent on the part of the fish and game in letting it get to this point.
Before everybody comes back just saying that I am just griping about an unsuccessful hunt we were in good places with plenty of feed and water. The wild horses we doing just fine except no colts on them (lions if I had my guess)
What I think needs to be done take it of leave it but something needs to be done.
1st Break up the regions into improvement sections and put a comity over each section.
- The sections need to be small so improvements can be recognized and maintained
2nd Grantee anyone who volunteers 100 hours of serves to a region a tag. If they don't volunteer put them into the general draw.
3rd I don't like it but cut the number of tags on deer, and start kill lions and coyotes.
Count each coyote as 10 hours of serves and each lion as 50 hours.
