Huge California Buck

Got this from another site. This year has been a good one for California. A number of fine trophy bucks have been harvested thoughout the state. Although we may not have the huge amounts of good country other western states have to offer.
There are public areas within some of the better zones that hold some real bruisers who rarely see hunters. All the proof one needs is on winter range each year.

'Round here we spell Bitterroot, like this

B I T T E R R O O T

Its ok to call it "The Root" as well.

life IS good (In the Bitterroot)

awesom buck, but you should never take a pic with a certain mountain range in the back round...well at least i wouldn't

Awesome Deer One of the best I have seen killed this year anywhere!! I love those BIG typicals.

WoW! That's a stud for sure! My guess though is that's not even close to the area it was killed in. Buck is all caped out, and there's no gear in the background, no binos, no orange (is there ever?), no blood, and a house in the background...

Go read the General forum thread that was started first and you will find out what and where it was taken.
By the way, ORANGE is not required in CA.
