LAST EDITED ON May-26-11 AT 03:50PM (MST)[p]I finally drew a tag.. NR rifle tag. I will be able to arrive 1 week early and hunt the entire season. Does anyone have any suggestions on an area to start looking? Should I choose a central location for a camping spot and trailer or ride to where I find the elk?

If its within your ability I'd hire a guide, 13-15 years is a long time to wait and a lot of invested time.........Just my personal feelings but what do I know I guide......

I didnt get my Book Cliffs tag this year. Maybe I will just burn my points on the wasatch next year and hire him to show me a bull

The Wasatch unit is huge, and you will not see it all, even if you have all summer. So you will need to pick a general area and focus on finding elk there. IMHO
