LAST EDITED ON Oct-29-06 AT 08:50PM (MST)[p]Anyone else planning on a hunt there this year? I'm headed out in a couple weeks and I'm hoping it'll be a good time.

Didn't draw this year. Had a blast last year and the 2 other times I've drawn out there. Good luck to you.

I will be there the 17th through the end of the season. I will be concentrating on my prairie tag, but will spend some time on my Hills tag as well.

Whats the weather like there in November? I was considering a hunt, but was concerned about the weather and the risk of getting snowed in.

Weather anywhere in the northern plains during November can be summed up as this....."unpredictable!!!"

I grew up in Eastern Montana and they are close to the same. It may rain, it may snow, it may hail..........Then again; the sun might shine. Unfortunately it is the chance you take. See the post about eastern montana warning and you will know what it can be like. We are heading there this year as we did 2 years ago. 2 years ago the weather was awesome. In the 50's and sunny all 4 days we hunted. From that experience, I am worried more about the # of hunters than I am the weather. Hunt was pretty enjoyable, but the first two days were enough to give a war veteran flashbacks!!!!

Well, in 2001 and 2003 it snowed a lot while we were there. Last fall, it was 70+ degrees.
