I got a big 5 point 26" running with 8 does and 4 small bucks. I seen 5 bucks togather in the same spot today that where very nice bucks and a small one. Do you think that the buck I got could be the dominant buck and the other bucks just got run off. Will a dominant buck let those very small bucks be around. Maybe someone can help.

He could have been the dominant, but another will take over soon. A domininat buck will let the smaller ones get only so close at certain times. They catch on quick.

He was a nice buck and was wonder if he would already have his does because I'm not sure if the rut is on yet. Will the dominant buck be with them this early or will they be more to themslfs but not to far away.

Nebo,

Typically the dominant buck will chase off any smaller bucks, there are several factors, during the Rut the larger bucks typically will chase the doe in heat and possible let other bucks get close to his other does. Remember, they focus on the deer in heat first. If it is not the rut, the wise old muleys usually will hang out by themselves until the rut, meaning there could be a larger buck in the area. Anyhow, that will probally confuse the heck out of you. Try and find a couple of mule deer books from the libary and read, they can be helpful.

Congrats on your buck, it sounds like a very nice one.

Respectfully!
