Hey guys,
Just wanted to see if anyone had any advice on the 12a east muzzleloader hunt. Not sure if the deer have started moving down off the plateau. Any advice would be great.
Thanks, Scott

There were hundreds of deer down low last week in 12AW. Saw only two decent bucks out of 34 deer and neither was a trophy. The guys I talked to on top were coming down to hunt every day. If you can hike off the roads a half mile or so and climb up on a crown surrounded by juniper there are a crapload of deer sneaking around. There wasn't really much snow on top but had been real cold. May be that the real hog bucks are staying up high for a bit longer. Good luck and hope you find a buck worth shooting.

I was in 12B West and there were a lot of deer higher but most of the big boys must have been still up higher. We had snow on Wednesday that melted the next day to scatter the deer more. If more snow and colder weather hits things should get better for the big boys to be down.

We saw quite a few deer down low. I would think you should find a great buck down low by now with all the cold temps, they are moving...... Thanks, Allen Taylor......

Thanks for the feedback guys. Anyone hunted near the combs? Thought the area looked good.
