Got him in unit 53. We were seeing quite a few bucks with a few in the 160's mixed in. On day 5, started to wonder if I should have shot one of the better bucks when I spotted this guy way up the mountain just below the rimrock. Looked more like sheep country than deer country. I hiked up there and arrived about 10 or 11 am. Sat there until about 4 and could only see a small buck where the big buck should have been. I figured he was in there somewhere and would get up sooner or later. A big storm was moving in with thunder, lightning and even a rock slide came off the mountain way to close to where I was. It started to snow hard and I was going to leave cause I'd left my rain gear behind and was getting wet and cold and visibility was not real good. I must have spooked them when I was putting my back pack on cause just as I was leaving I looked up one last time and there he was with the small buck. He was looking right at me and I was able to lay down with the bipod and put one right in his chest. He instantly crumbled and went rolling hard down the hill. He was definately a last minute buck.

Awesome buck, Congrats, and thanks for the pics.
