EAGLE COUNTY, COLORADO...too much snow?

I've got a late season (Nov. 14-18) Mule deer hunt in Eagle county. I've been hearing they've already recieved 2 1/2 feet of snow. It's melting now...but will that have already pushed the deer out of there? Any of you Rockies out there, help a brother out? Thanks

There isn't really much snow below 8500 ft, and its been warm this week ( relatively ). They are still spread out below 9500 ft.

Thanks Scott...I've been looking forward to this hunt all year after getting snuffed in the Arizona draw. The landowner wanted to cancel the hunt..he was saying where he's at..there's still lots of snow and that it's pushed a lot of the deer lower.

Randal,

I'll be there for that hunt as well. FYI season dates are 15th-19th.
Good luck with your hunt!!

Hey Brian,

We too are leaving the 10th. Like to get there a bit early and settle in. Looks like the weather here will follow us out there.
Have you been checking the weather ........hard not to be excited!

I just got back from the 3rd season and it was warm and dry so far. They may be getting a little rain/snow now, but it was hot last week. Should be a good hunt, hope you have an ATV or chains though, the roads are rough in lots of the spots we hunted. I am curious about how the 4th season will be, so please keep us updated. Are you hunting private or public land? Good luck.

I have the same hunt you guys have as well. My buddy and I are leaving tomorrow night to get a few days of looking around.

We hunted the 3rd season there last year and are going back to the same spot.

I was up in those units over 3rd season. The snow is pretty much gone under 10K. That 4th season tag should be a good one.

We're hunting private land...they had quite a bit of snow a couple of weeks ago...had us a little worried. Hopefully this cold front this weekend will really kick in the rut. I'll let you know how we did when we get back. How did you guys do? did you hunt in 35 or 36?
