NM 13 Buck...Feedback(PICS)

Kind of torn on wether to get him mounted. I have a large Non-typical buck, but to date, this is my best typical. He isn't the widest or tallest but is just a pretty buck with nice eyeguards. Also, was the first hunt my son was able to go on and thought it would be a great way for him to remember it. Not looking for praise but just a little feedback that he's worth the money to mount..

I'll give you my honest professional opinion. Yes, mount the animal. My grandfather mounted an antelope that he killed in New Mexico in the 1950s. It is now a family heirloom that I am currently slated to inherit.

I would say yes. I got my buck mounted last year and was very skeptical and now I couldn't be happier!! Very nice buck.

Why wouldn't you? Beautiful buck and sounds like great memories of a great hunt. Throw him up on the wall, you won't regret it.

I have been hunting mule deer for 25+ years. I am selective in what I would mount. Your buck definitely qualifies! Do him or you will regret it is my opinion.

I agree have it mounted and your little hunter will be able to admire it while he is growing up. That's a great Buck, congrats to you.

Your question should be, "WHY NOT MOUNT HIM AND HANG HIM ON THE WALL?" and you answer to that would be, "there is no reason not to mount him".
That is a tremendous buck and a guy never gets tired of looking a great bucks. It is always a flashback of the hunt when you look at your mounts, and if it was one that your boy is a memorie of, Git 'er done!

Unless you are Monte L. Bean you should do it for sure! If you don't want to foot the bill - broker a deal with a local sporting goods store / taxidermist. If the taxidermist can display his name next to the mount in the store him or the store will probably foot the bill for you. This is also a good option if you don't have room in your house. Everytime you go to the store you can see your buck and it is going to get seen by a lot more people than it will at your house, if you are interested in that. You have a beautiful cape for sure and it is a great trophy. MOUNT IT!

Not that you need any more advice, but I wouldn't think twice about having it mounted, the browtines alone warrant getting him mounted. Congrats, and be sure to let us see the mount when its done.

Nice buck and he will bring back lots of memories if you have him mounted. You never know what the future holds and you may go a few years before you shoot another as nice. Nice pics and it will be something your son will reflect on as he grows up and remembers hunting with his dad. Enjoy!
