Lemhi archery

I am looking at an archery hunt in the lemhi unit of ID. I have horses and have scouted it somewhat. Are there a lot of back country camps during the archery hunt? What is the wolf situation like in that unit? What about spring bear?

You should be able to get away from most, but not all, hunters. Elk herd is down because of wolves, so please do your part and thin the wolf packs!!! It is great country, but rugged. Good black bear population as well. Decent deer population, but not great. Not many monster bucks in the area, but seeing good 4-points is possible.

Rest assured I will do my part to thin the wolf herd. I have had mixed reports on whether they are a big issue or not. Have you been in the back of Big Timber Creek?

I've hunted there in the last 4-5 years. I'm not afraid to get out and go deep in to the hills for a few days. Never really able to get to far away from other people though. Just my experience.
