Cow elk advise which cow tag in Wyoming 47, 48 or 49

I will be meeting up with a buddy for our first hunting trip in years and looking at possibly buying a leftover Wyoming Cow tag.

We'll be hunting deer in Region M and have a choice of leftover cow elk tags Unit 47, Unit 48 or Unit 49. I need to know which of the 3 units I have a decent chance of finding a cow elk on public land or maybe a place that I could pay a small trespass fee to get a cow elk. Also, if you don't think any of these tags are any good, let me know.

Any help would be appreciated.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-30-11 AT 08:31AM (MST)[p]To be very honest with you, none of the three! Almost all elk in those units are on private property that it's either tied up by outfitters or if you can find a rancher that allows access for a fee, the fees are ridiculous for a cow.

PS: That's why there are so many leftover tags in those units and it's that way every year. They will probably sell a bunch more of them, but it will be to people that are already booked through an outfitter or locals who own property or have a rancher friend.
