Well it's finally my turn to earn a crack at a good bull. I had 8 nonres points. Statistically shouldn't be going but will take it and love it. Anyone been in the Unit this summer to see what's available? I will not make it scouting, comimng from Oregon once to hunt will be all I can do. I helped my buddy take a 7x8 in 2007 on this hunt on the 7th morning. With a stunted freak right antler it still scored 333. He will be returning the favor this year and hopefully tasting success with me again. We will have 2 horses for meat retrieval but will be dropping in on the boots each morning. Any feedback would be great. I can't wait to get back to that beautiful country.

went down a month ago, SNOW! Summer is REALLY late coming this year, and there could be places that keep the snow all year. Baring a fire, if you hunted the area a few years back, you'll probably be ok in the same area again.

I have the early rifle. The north end is completely open, I was up a week ago. Lots of cow and calf herds and some small bulls so far. Lots of green. The south end will be a long while opening, and I doubt some of the drifts will be completely gone this year at least on top. Good luck.
