I have a similar question to utaz, I just moved here and have heard the extended archery goes forever here, what are the exact dates and general areas as well as a pm or two to get me started looking in the right direction. I live in the North West Valley near Lake Pleasant and would appreciate any info.

The dates are usually the last two weeks of December, and all of January. Of course, you have to buy a new license and tag in January, and it will count towards your 07 bag limit. So if you shoot one in January, you can't shoot one again until 08. Most of the southern half of the state is open during this time with the exception of a couple central units.

The hunt opens in the middle of December. Archery tags are sold over the counter. There is some decent hunting in the desert around Lake Pleasant. I have seen a few deer while either fishing or quail hunting near there. Another area near you to check out is around Wickenburg. The deer are around, just spend some time looking.
