I'm shooting the new darton ds-3800 which is the best darton i have had and this would be the 7th one. Im shooting pro-hunter sticks with blazer vein and 100 grain broadheads. I've bought 3 diff broad heads and am having trouble finding one that will shoot great. my last darton was shooting about 320 and rocket titanium shot great out to 80 yards. now with this faster bow I'm have problems which i was expecting. I could always use a little help for coueswhitetail members. i'm going to try twisting my vein's when felched and have only used fixed broadheads. Any Ideas? Thank You!

Try checking your arrows to the spine of your bow. You may need to go a bit stiffer with the new bow. Also paper tune to a bullet hole before trying your BH's. Have you done these things already? If so, What kind of a tear are you getting? What rest are you shooting?

In my experience a poorly shooting BH is not the problem, it is a mismatched arrow or bow that is out of tune? Just a coupleof ideas.

I second the votes for G5 Montecs, Wac'ems, or slick tricks. All great heads!

I would vote for the slick tricks and last year I shot the Steel Force Phat Heads. Both fly great. But i prefer the design of the steel force.

I would try a Interloc Stainless Extreme or Carbon tuner, a g5 striker is also a very good head. Make sure that they spin correctly on your arrows if they dont use a arrow squaring device. You might also think about using a mechanical head, the best in my opinion is a G5 T3.

Shoot em till their dead

Silentstalker hit it. Spine problems are the biggest issue when it comes to broadheads grouping with fieldpoints. I presently have 3 bows and the slowest ibo's at 325. All of them will shoot magnus stingers, nap razorcaps, woodsman elites, samuraii, massai or whatever I care to shoot out of em. So take your pick and tune your setup.

You are going to get a million opinions. At that speed, your set up, and just as importantly, YOUR FORM must be perfect. That is not the most forgiving speed to shoot broadheads. I'd up the arrow weight as much as possible to get it in the 285-290 fps range. You will have more forgiving flight, as quieter shot, less recoil to the bow, and much greater pepetration. A better overall combo for sure.

As for broadheads, any good fixed head is fine. I personally prefer a one piece, solid, cut on contact, model. I also like one that is made of machined steel, not powdered cast metal like the G5 or welded together like the Snuffer or Hellrazor. The VPA Terminator is the only one that fits that description and is toughest in that class.

I would recommend more fletching with a fixed broadhead, ecspecially at that speed. You are simply too fast and don't have enough guidance (fletching). Go with a 4" vane.....or....switch to a mechanical head. They take a lot of the headache out of broadhead tuning with today's faster bows and are extremely accurate and deadly.
