For all you elk affectionados in the Phoenix area, I just wanted to let you know that I'll be doing my annual elk seminar for the Arizona Predator Callers on August 11th in Phx.
This year I'm using a new Power Point presentation we've put together and will talk about a number of topics including elk history, past and present, calling and draw strategies, 20% set aside rule and 10% non resident rule.
Plus I'll have a set of elk antlers for you to estimate the score of,(no measuring devices allowed!) with the winner getting a free overnight striper fishing trip on Lake Mead next summer for one or two (value $450). One estimate per attendee.
Bring the kids as they seem to ALWAYS win some kind of prizes.
