My New Mexico Hunt Conclusion

Some of you have already seen photos of the dead head from the elk I shot in October and recovered in March. I had not posted them until now because it stung. So many on this site helped me with information that I felt I needed to send it out to some of those people which I did a couple months ago. I am now feeling a little better about the situation and elected to include this as part of my HAC for 2011. You can go there under my thread Great Opportunities to see the photos once they are updated.

I know some of you will beat me up for not being able to recover that bull and I feel the same way at times. It still sucks but to say I learned a lot would be a gross understatement.

Thanks to Kevin Jamarillo for his hard work and dedication in helping me to bring closure to this hunt.

For GAWDS Sakes Guys,We Got Kids on this Site,Some of them are 65 years Old!

I don't care if they're big or small!

Iowan, I checked out your HAC because of this thread, you're a very good writer, you have talent sir. I can't imagine what you went through emotionally. Sounds and feels like you had a lot of highs and lows with that hunt all around. I'm glad for you that you have recovered your elk and that you have found closure to an otherwise great hunting experience. Good looking rack you have there. I'm looking forward to following your HAC. I'm with B-bop, more pic?s please.

Thanks. I have a full schedule at work today and then home tonight with both kids birthday parties this weekend. I will add another post to the HAC on Sunday and include more pictures. See my HAC for the first photo, it is there now.

Nevermind. I found it. I didn't realize there was a new forum for 2011.

If Founder reads this...the new forum should be added to the drop down for the forums. I didn't even know there was a new one.
