With elk season just around the corner thought it would be a good time to share another elk video with you guys. Some of you may have seen this already but I feel it's worth a second look.

This is a good friend's 2007 AZ hunt. I was only able to video the last two days out of the 12 days he hunted but was able to get enough footage to make a decent video out of it. Just an awesome bull for an awesome guy. If you count the little devil point on his left side he's actually a 8x7. Be sure to turn up the volume about 4 mins into the video so you can hear 2 big ol bulls locking horns. The hunter shoots the smaller of the two fighting bulls.

I was right there with ya bro!!! Great job, great hunt, great bull!!! I gotta stop watchin that stuff, out of 4 states I didn't draw any elk tags this year. Going on 9 AZ elk points can't wait for my turn.

Great video! I need to get a good camera like that for better quality on my videos.

For the love of the game

Great video quality and the audio of the bulls fighting was really cool!

Gotta love the XForce! Did that arrow pass through? I hit my bull in the same spot in 2008 and it killed him just as quick. A little far forward but if it slide around that leg...!

Congrats to the hunter.

Thanks for posting.

"You skin grizz?"

LAST EDITED ON Aug-18-11 AT 03:12PM (MST)[p]Thanks for the comments guys! The shot was a complete pass through. I can't remember the exact yardage but I think it was somewhere around 35-40 yards. That X-Force is a awesome bow.

The camera was a Canon XL2. It's a very big camera but cranks out some beautiful footage for not being an HD camera. Some of the smaller HD cameras now days produce some amazing footage and if I were looking to get a new cam one of these would be it.

Great video love the finish.

Hey sweet video. Thanks for letting us in on the hunt. What Broadhead were you using?

"That's a special feeling, Lloyd"

I don't remember what BH my buddy used I'll have to ask him and get back to you on that. Thanks for the comments everyone.

Man that was cool. Thanks for posting it up. What a sweet experience. I felt robbed on a recent elk hunt. Not so much because my bull was smaller than my expectations, but more so because the bulls wouldn't talk for the 6 days I hunted them. They sang at night, but were quiet from before light til about midnight. I hope that my next crack at a bull has me in the thick of it like your video. It was truely awesome to hear those bulls screamin all around you.

Congrats on a great hunt and a great video!

Kool! I've got a Colorado 1st gun hunt this year and hopefully I'll get a shot at a nice 'un like that!

Nicely done!!!!

Government doesn't fix anything and has spent trillions proving it!!!
Let's face it...After Monday and Tuesday, even the calender says WTF!

We couldn't tell if the bull had been shot or not. We reported it to the G&F and they concluded that the bull died of natural causes. The only hole we found on it looked like it was caused by the birds and other scavengers but couldn't tell for sure.

As far as what broadhead was used sorry I haven't found out yet.
