Ritzville Late buck

Well I saw hundreds of deer every day I went out but just couldn't seem to locate a big boy. I know if I had spent more time I should have killed a much nicer deer. But with it being Thanksgiving week and all we had plans to visit family. I ended my hunt early by shooting what I though was a pretty symetrical 4 point. Turns out he had busted the right side up pretty good. Had a lot of fun and still was able to enjoy Thanksgiving with the family. Unlike last year, shot a buck on Thanksgiving morning and the family had to postpone dinner for me.

Congrats. How did your Omak trip pan out, or was that it? I saw a few in the Mehtow, but pitiful compared to usual. Even doe numbers were down I thought. You can see those bucks somewhere on here.

I got him with a muzzleloader. As far a public land in the unit, there isn't much and it is hunted hard.

My omak trip went well. We took a few drives and saw some nice bucks. I went along for the ride with a friend and his dad on the Reservation Saturday. Saw lots of bucks. My friends dad killed this one. He would have been close to 170 if both sides matched.

Nice deer. Did you have to knock on a lot of doors to find a spot to hunt? Driving through over there we saw a lot of deer also, good looking area.

Man I don't know what it is but so many bucks I've seen in this area are busted up on one side or the other. Perhaps it's all the whitetails coming into this area trying to dominate for teritory. I don't know but it's sure a curious thing. My buddy's son shot a nice buck this year but one side was completely torn off by what looked like to either be a fight with another buck or a lost fight with a fence??? Good job man a nice buck to hang on the wall...hope to see you around ritzville again sometime! You know where to find me.
