I was lucky enough to kill a nice bull on the zion unit this year.

One question. I know there are threads about this but did you hit him high shoulder? If so, how far was the shot and what was the damage? I had that shot on a big bull this weekend and just couldn't decide.
 
The shot was a little high behind the shoulder for flat ground, but given the fact that he was 53 yards below me on a 40 degree slope it was a perfect shot that destroyed his heart. He tipped over dead right where he was standing when I shot him. This is the first animal that I have harvested with my bow that didn't run he just fell dead.
