Elk shoulder mount forms..

Okay, somewhere in the back of my mind I remember seeing a wall shoulder mount bull with a slight turn and a good part of the front legs showing.

I've searched high and low and can't seem to find it again.

Was it a pedestal mount that someone just had on the wall?

My 2010 bull cape should be back from the tannery any day and I need to get the form figured out pretty soon.

Thanks in advance. Nathan

That trufit form is what mine is on. The leg comes down pretty far on the form and did not like how the leg drew the eye to it and had my taxi trim the leg so it was not hanging down as far.

It's the same Trufitt form these guys are talking about. I did modify the form to give it a little more dramatic of a turn. If it had been a larger antlered bull, I probably could not have got the antlers to clear the wall with the extra turn.

I really like the extra turn. My bull was nicer in the front than the length and width (42" main beams, 36" inside spread), I bet it would fit with a heavy turn. Just have to talk the taxidermist into modifying the form.

His left side is a little better than his right so I was thinking a right turn mount.

Is that Trufitt form a good form?

Thanks, Nathan
