I was wondering how anyone did during the deer season in Colorado unit 43? I have been considering to put in for a 4th season tag in 2007. I appreciate the information.

buddy of mine had the third season for that unit, apperently the deer got slatured during the second season due to that big storm, they only saw one big buck the whole hunt and killed a couple 22 inch bucks

Thanks for the information. I'm not surprised at the deer being shot out during the second season. The weather conditions were ideal this year, as compared to previous years. I bet a lot of deer were also killed in the 4th season with the ongoing rut. Do you happen to know which region of the unit your friends were hunting? thanks again

I hunted third season this year. It was an awesome year. The deer were allready in their winter range. I looked at over 50 bucks in three days of hunting, all on public ground. We wathced a monster 5x7 190" buck get killed. I shot this buck the last hour of day three. I think this unit would be incredible during fourth season, but i have never hunted it. PM me if you do get the tag, I would love to help you out.

200,

Your buck is awesome! I love the look of him. He is definitely an older deer with lots of neat characteristics.

Brandon -

That is a really nice buck. I seen your picture on the website earlier this fall. It looks like your buck was definitely in the rut? Those droptines are awesome. I will send you a PM if and when I draw a tag. I have PP so I see how it goes. I really appreciate the information. BTW, how much did that buck weigh? It looks 250 plus. Thanks- Leonard
