Last Day Buck

November 30th was the last day of 4 point Muley season in British Columbia's Region 5. I hunted every day that I possibly could this season and this was the best I could do.

Earlier in the year I took a smaller 4 pointer that spent his nights in private alfalfa fields but would head back into the cover of Crown land in the early morning.

This bigger buck lived up in a very heavily timbered mountain, but couldn't resist the does and came down to a lower more open elevation late in the season. I spent the last 4-5 days of hunting season in this area thinking it would surely pay off. Each day I only came across 2-3 deer but the sign was there. It was colder than a witches tit that week (-25Celcius to -30Celcius with the wind chill), but by the the last day it warmed up to about -11Celcius. Blah, Blah, Blah, here's some pics... No four wheeler's were used in the taking of these bucks, LOL.

This picture shows the balls of frozen sweat he had around his neck-

When in doubt, floor it.
