whattado you think of treestands + mulies

Has anyone ever had any specific success when using a treestand to hunt mule deer? Just checkin the possibilities.

In arid country, it does work well to place a stand on a spring or water hole during early season hunts. I've found that bigger bucks seem to come in and drink during the night, so it can be tough to get a mature buck. I know guys that have done it that way though, you just have to put the time in.

A lot of folks use them at water holes and foraging trails. Sometimes it is just a matter of getting lucky at these spots but it does work.

If you find a lot of droppings, you can get in among them there. Get there in the dark. Oakbrush taught me that.

Many big muleys have had the air let out of them by a hunter in a treestand.

Here's one I arrowed in 98'.No monster but I'm very happy with him.
