Great pictures... Looks like you had a heck of a time keeping the horses upright! Great looking bulls too. It is my life long dream to do a pack hunt like that some day ....

>Sweet man! I guess I only
>get the invites for the
>birds and not the elk!
>Let me know what I
>need to do to chase
>some elk!

You have to not be scared of Grizzlies, horses, cold weather or long "death marches" (I thik that's what you called it) lol

The wolves have them ate up pretty good. But there are a few around. It's big country

Kinda wondering how much damage the Wolves had done?

I'm really not sure because I have only been hunting the area for 2 years. But I can say, it is retarded how hard we have to work for a couple small bulls. That's part of the fun for us.

Love the pic of you guys all standing around the first bull. Have had the same look on my face many times; "Good God, why did I shoot this thing!?"

"Good God, why did
>I shoot this thing!?"

Haha I went back and looked. Definitely look slike that thought is going on. A good 4 or 5 pictures of everybody just sort of walking around the bull like wtf...

Awesome pictures though. Looks like you guys had a great time.

Looks like you guys had a great time in the high country. All good looking bulls. Congratulations on an awesome hunt.

That looks like a dream trip! What was the story with the upside down horse? Looks like he made it out ok.

haha, that's funny. for sure alot to deal with when they are on the ground. I think the shocked looks were more from the treacherous horse ride we had just finished to recover the bull. We had 4 incidents with saddle horses and pack horses going upside down. The terrain is pretty steep and nasty, and if man or beast loses footing, its a nice roll to the bottom of a ravine. We had to leave horses in the bottom of canyons overnight on 2 occasions. Glad the Grizz and wolves didn't eat em up.

Steep terrain. Once a horses slipped, it had a nice roll to the bottom, or the nearest tree stout enough to stop it.

Nice photos, Good looking area's
