Nebraska Muzzleloader

Just got in..this is my first buck with a muzzy gun. Not the biggest buck around but decent enough. He was also one of the top 3 or 4 bucks we saw.

Yeah. My first and Last deer with that gun! Got to have a sense of humor about it, I told my dad at least it didnt happen on the way there.

I forgot to mention that the body size on this buck was one of the largest I have come across. All of the mule deer back there where absolutly HUGE...even the does and 6 month olds had big bodies and thick in the neck. here is a picture of him hanging

Nice buck looks like the Chadron, Harrison area or somewhere in the pine ridge. I know the area well. I've always thought Nebraska Mulies were bigger in the body, I'm not an expert have only hunted Colorado and Wyoming but most of the deer I've shot in these states Nebraska deer have the largest bodies but usually don't come close on antlers. Too much pressure to allow for the age needed for large antler growth. Congragulations and sorry about the theft of your property.
