I FEEL BOTH DO EXSIST. IVE SEEN THINGS IN THE HIGH UINTAS THAT WE DONT HAVE THE TECHNOLLIGY TO DO YET. IVE ALSO BEEN FORTUNATE TO HAVE A FREIND FROM APPOLO 14 THE CAPTIN IN FACT HIS NAME IS EDGAR MITCHLE. ONE MOURING WHILE HAVING BREAKFAST TOGETHER I ASKED HIM ABOUT UFO,S HE SAID IF THE PUBLIC NEW WHAT NASA KNOWS THE WORLD WOULD FLIP OUT. HE WAS THE GUY THAT FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET APOLO 13 HOME. AS FAR AS BIG w?ST NEVER SEEN HIM. BUT I AM OPEN TO HIS BEING REAL.

Oh yeah, I've seen things that I can't explain. I was helping a buddy hunt bull elk down by Ely, Nevada last month and had to go out and relieve myself behund a tree in the middle of the night. While I was squatting I looked up over Mount Grafton and saw what looked like an airplane sitting in one spot pointed right at me watching me grunt one out. Well after I was finished I pulled up my brtches and started walking back to the tent never taking my eyes off of it. Well the top of a tree obstructed my view for two seconds while I walked around it. When I got to the other side of the tree it was gone. So I walked back around to the side of the tree where I was watching it and it was still gone. I think it was some military aircraft that can hover and has the ability to zoom in and watch somebody from 5 miles away. Probably was watching me with infrared optics and was wondering how such a big log could come from a human being. I just don't know how it dissappeared so quickly. fatrooster.

I killed a buck once in archery season and had to look for it in the dark. It was a calm Sept. evening and we started into this patch of trees where the buck had dissappeared. I sat still for a few minutes and could hear something wheezing in the calm of the night. It would start and stop and seemed to be making a semi-circle around us. I thought it was the buck I arrowed until I found him stone dead. I still don't know what it was, and am not saying that it was bigfoot or something, but I have yet to figure it out.

fatrooster- did you ever find your tent? just joking. laugh it was funny.
i was driving out of the mountains w/ my family and seen two deer jump across the road. we stopped to check it out. i was looking through the small pines w/ my binocs and seen a dark figure behind a tree. at first it looked like a cows tail, wagging up and down. i could definitely see a figure behind the tree. i tried to focus my binocs then i seen the figure start peeking around the tree, such as playing peek a boo. i started to move to a better position then we heard an awful, wierd, high piched scream. i didn't want to try to figure out what it was. i got my family back in the truck and we headed out quite quickly.
another time, we were driving from leavensworth to Seattle. along the pass before u start heading up the the grade, i was looking along the river through the trees and swore i saw something (bigfoot?) trudging across the river. kind of eerie, might of been a stump or something but i didn't want to stop and look.
my wife and i found some tracks not to far from where i live. about twice as big as my 10 1/2 shoe. 3 sets, and the smallest was about the same size as my shoe. i got pictues of the tracks somewhere on my old sony digital cam. if i can find the disk i'll post later. my younger brother said that there is a kid in school that has video of a bigfoot from a trail cam. it was set up in the same general location where we found the tracks. Still begging him to ask the kid to borrow the video.
used to check the bfro website quite often. alot of hunters report of strange sitings.

I remember fairly clearly, when I was only 5 or 6 years old, I had a "close encounter" one night in my bedroom. I woke up in the bottom bunk of my bunkbed and had that weird feeling I wasn't alone. I sat up and looked around the darkened room. There was silver moonlight shining through my window so I could see a little bit. When I turned my head to the left, out of the corner of my eye I noticed something at the head of my bed. It hadn't moved, but I jumped back a little and tried to focus on what I was seeing. Its head was in a shadow, but its torso and arms were clearly visible in the moonlight. It was about the same size as I was and it looked like E.T. except it had claws for hands. I thought I was imagining things, so I reached out and actually touched its arm to see if it was real. It was warm and had arm hair. I pretty much freaked out and ran screaming to my parents room. My mom and dad woke up and tried to calm me down. My mom told me I was just dreaming, but they got up and turned on all the lights and walked me back into my bedroom. Of course, whatever it was, it was gone. But for some reason my bedroom window was opened and there was no moon out that night. WOW, it still makes my hair stand up thinking about it.

When I was a little older, I was walking to the bus stop with my little sister and looked up and noticed a metallic flying mushroom. It had a flat bottomed dome with a tube sticking down from the center. My sister noticed that I had stopped walking and turned to see what I was doing. I pointed up to the object and asked her "what is THAT"?? She looked and said "it looks like a mushroom". Well at least I knew we were looking at the same thing. It flew north along the Sierra Nevada mountains for a few seconds, then it tilted and turned to the west and flew out of sight behind the mountains. At the time, I lived in Ridgecrest California right next to the China Lake Naval Weapons Center, so I was pretty familiar with fighter jets and such. This wasn't a jet.

I've never seen bigfoot, but once when I was about 12 or 13 my whole family freaked out at a picnik when we noticed what looked like giant dog tracks that appeared to have been walking on its hind legs. I guess we were all picturing in our minds what a 250 lb bipedal werewolf would look like. We didn't finish lunch.

Several years back Bugle magazine had an issue dedicated to strange/spooky outdoors stories. It had some great stories akin to what you have all mentioned here. If you can get a copy of that magazine it makes for great boy scout camp fire stories - they'll stop running around til all hours of the night and hide in their tents.

Strange Things are afoot at the Circle K.

There is no doubt in my mind about either. To many strange things happening when out hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, etc... And seen by more then one person, especialy in the deserts of south western utah and southern nevada (area 51 and other secret bases in the area).

RE: Strange Things are afoot at the Circle K.

Ive had one weird thing happen to me. My buddies have had a few happen to them to, its all weird. Mine is similar to dleaonard3.
It was about 1 in the morning and I couldnt sleep, then I had that weird feeling youve all felt before, so I turned my head to look around my room and didnt see anything. But when I turned my head I heard a very deep growl coming from my doorway, so I turned my head away and was freaking out inside, stiff as a board on the outside. As I was try to figure out what to do I heard it sniffing around my room, I had really big shag carpet at the time and my school papers were on the floor, I could here it stepping on the paper as it sniffed around. I screamed like a little girl, jumped out of bed and flipped on my light, nothing. My family woke up from my scream and came to check it out. When we didnt find anything my parents told me it was probably a dog that I heard outside.

Maybe it was and I was a little sleepy and thought it was in my room, but I doubt it. When I heard that growl I was wide awake. After that I went back to bed and after a few mintues I heard the growl again in my room, screamed like a little girl again, family came in again, still nothing. After awhile went back to bed and nothing happened.

That is my one weird experience. Never saw anything, but the feeling I had and the sound was enought to scare the crap out of me.

I cant wait to hear about this in our meeting on Tuesday!

LAST EDITED ON Jan-05-07 AT 02:12PM (MST)[p]Back in 95 I decided to head up to Winthrop, WA the Monday before the opener by myself for a little solo time. I pitched my tent and tarps in the junction of a huge L shaped stack of winter feed hay to block the wind. The first night I stayed up late listening to the coyotes. After I went in the tent to sleep, I could hear what sounded like a very large pack of coyotes walking around and even sniffing at my tent. They did this for about 1/2 an hour, then all at once they all started howling literally feet from my head. Scared the crap out of me at first. Then I just though this is pretty cool. They kept this up off and on most the night. The next night I wanted to sleep, so I pulled the Farley Mowat trick (from "never cry wolf") and drank lots of coffee and pee'd around my tent in a circle about 50ft from out. This seemed to work pretty well. Throughout the night I could hear this intermittent creaking that sounded like an old door closing slowly. Around first light I woke up thinking that I heard someone talking in my tent? Something did not feel right. The shape of the tent was all wrong (this was a 10ft dome) I was just about to sit up and put some clothes on to head out to pee, when I heard a very loud firm voice say "GET ....OUT". I was laying on a queen size blow up mattress with my back to the door, when I felt as if someone grabbed my long underwear shirt collar as was pulling me backwards out the door flap that I know I had closed the night before, but it was now open. As I backed out of the tent I realized it was snowing pretty hard and had been for a few hours. I could see my tarps were all twisted but I was not awake enough to put together what was wrong? All of a sudden the haystack that I had tied my tarps too, came crashing down on the tent. Apparently the creaking sound was the shifting of the haystack as it was leaning over my tent. As I sat down the think about it, I noticed my tracks in the snow looked like my bare feet were sliding as I was being pulled backwards.
I do not have a clue where the voice came from, or who/what was pulling me out of the tent, there were no other prints in the snow. Luckily my tent was not damaged much, and I was able put some clothes on and move camp to a grove of trees about 100ft away. It was weird that night sitting by the fire thinking about what had happened. I felt very satisfied, like this is as it should be? Content? I can't explain it any better then that.

My grandmother is a very level headed and grounded person. She was driving in Eastern Washington back in the '60's and saw what she described as a huge saucer type craft, like two football fields long hovering, the speeding off incredibly fast. She really won't talk about it, she only spoke of it once to my grandfather. As far as a big foot goes, look at the deer harvested in Wisconsin this year. Seven feet and dual sex organs. I think a bear could mutate enough to look like a big foot, it's possible.

You rednecks better lay off the peyote, and the white lighting. Next you boys are going to start seeing jackalopes.

This is not my story, but on another board

that I post on They got talking about UFO's last night. This story was posted on that site and I thouoght I would share it over here with you guys:

I was 7 and my brother was 5. We were living in a small town in S. Idaho. One night we woke up to the hysterical screams coming from my Mom's room. My brother and I ran into the master bedroom to see what the matter was. My Mom was terrified - just flat out scared of something and could not speak. She was hyperventilating and my Dad was really scared. I remember him telling my brother and I to kneel down while he gave her a blessing. A few minutes after he was finished, my Mom went to sleep, and my Dad told my brother and I to go back to bed.

We dutifully went back to our bedroom on the other side of the house - by this time it was really late - and we were both tired. We go to our room which was on the back side of the house, facing the pasture we had behind our place. A neighbor ran lots of cattle back there. We had a back window that faced back there and I distinctly remember laying down to go to sleep and looking out the window - seeing a nearly-full moon and thinking how bright it was outside. I fell asleep pretty quickly - but not for long. I woke up with a start with my little brother shaking me - he could not talk he was scared so bad. He just kept pointing towards the window and shaking me. I get up to look and I don't see anything so I take him to get my Dad. My Dad gives him a blessing and he calms down, but we're wondering why my brother was pointing towards the window.

So, my dad gives me a shotgun and sits me in the front room. He takes another gun and locks the door behind him to go check in the backyard with a floodlight that we had. That was the longest 10 minutes in my young life - waiting there for my dad... thinking how I could muster the courage to blow whatever away that might have gotten my Dad...

I remember him walking back through the door - white as a sheet and locking the door securely - going for the phone and calling the cops. He would not tell us what he saw, just said that we'd be safe inside and we said a prayer. We did not sleep that much that night.

In the morning we went out back and saw cow remains scattered all over our backyard. Some of them in strange configurations - the sexual organs hung up on trees right outside our bedroom window.

To this day, my brother cannot go to sleep without lights on - he's 31 years old - he swears that the things doing the butchering he saw that night were other-worldly. I don't know what it was, but it was definitely the closest I had come to pure evil in my short life...

RE: This is not my story, but on another board

I don't think I could have mustered up the spiritual strength to give my wife and kid a blessing. If I ever found myself in a situation like that - face to face with pure evil, I would immediately go for the shotgun, call the cops, close all of the window shades and lock the doors, and wait for the cops to check things out. Then if they found what you described, I would be documenting everything and I would have lots of pictures and video to show.

That's scary stuff right there. It made my hair tingle again. I'm going to make a copy of that story and tell it the next time I'm in a group of ghost story tellers.

RE: This is not my story, but on another board

I beleive there are UFO'S and some form of what we call Bigfoot. I personally have never seen anything to support Bigfoot but I have seen things that make me bekieve in UFO'S. This is the only story I will share. My father grew up logging from the time he was literally 5yrs old. He has a few stories but I will share this one.

A log truck driver was sitting in his truck down the road from the landing an hour or so before light waiting for his turn to be loaded, the driver was nodding off a little when he had that feeling that we are all talking about. He turned his head out the drivers window and saw a ape like creature standing there looking at him. The driver freaked out then quit the job and never returned to that job. This is second hand info. from the driver to my dad. I know my father well and he does not mix words at all. What ever that driver told him is what my dad passed on to me. Like I said my father has a few from his experience but I wish not to share. I do believe there is something out there.

RE: This is not my story, but on another board

Here is a story that is so out there that it makes you wonder.

I am going to post the website on here and I think everyone needs to spend a few minutes reading it. Cool story, makes you wonder how much is real and how much is made up in the mind.

Have fun reading, let me know what you think.

RE: This is not my story, but on another board

Spend a night with my brother deep in the heart of the Navajo Rez. Let me just say it was the scariest night of my life.

RE: This is not my story, but on another board

My buddy took this picture while on a hiking trip. He "felt" like he was being watched and looked across the canyone to see this.... It it a shadow, a bear, ....???? It was gone after he took the pic and pulled up his binocs......

Yep...some of my good Ute friends will barely even talk about skinwalkers and one guy is just sure his dad was killed by one. A friend of mine had a roommate in college who was a Navajo Indian and she apparently had a skinwalker after her. Some really weird, freaky stuff happened with that girl. It was a bit scary.

Ah yes, our famous UFO Ranch here in the Basin. I'll believe it when I see it, but it freaks me out enough that I'm not going to go trying to experience it! LOL

RE: This is not my story, but on another board

This is about the "Skinwalker Ranch"... or Gorman... or Sherman Ranch....

It's in or near Fort Duchesne, in the basin, not far from Vernal.

All this crazy stuff was supposed to be happening- right up to the point that the NIDS, a "research" orginization out of Las Vegas bought it 'an started research there. Then, it all supposedly stopped, around 1999 or 2000.
I'll admit... I've thought about tracking it down, checking it out...
How 'bout it Bobcat? Bin out there? It's in yer neck of the woods!

RE: This is not my story, but on another board

Doesn't Cass spend a lot of time in Ely, NV???

The only bobcat thinking it is a long time 'til hunting season!!!!!

Huntinadict...

Help me out here... I can't see anything...

RE: This is not my story, but on another board

Almost dead center, there is a something dark/black in the shadow between the two large rock cliffs, just above where the trees meet the rock cliffs.

Okay, I wasn't going to respond to this, but after reading the other posts, I changed my mind. I will say that I DO NOT believe in UFO's with beings from other planets, but I DO believe in Bigfoot, and always have. Have never heard or seen anything that makes me believe, but have a couple of friends and two brothers who have.

My brothers and a friend were going on a three day hike. They got a late start, and were not able to make it to the place where they had intended to camp. So they found a spot along a creek, in the dark that seemed like a good area to camp. They got a fire going, tents pitched, etc. 30 mins. later while sitting around the fire talking, something starts screaming at them from just outside the firelight. My brothers said that it was obviously screaming at them, and was so loud and close that you could FEEL the screams in your chest. A very loud, raspy "woo, woo, woo". They all looked at each other, and when it stopped my youngest brother asked my other brother "what makes that sound?", and then it started again. After round two, they were all sitting with their backs to the fire with knives and one machete for defense, but never heard or saw anything else. The said that that it was a very restless night, but the rest of their trip was uneventful.

I have some other stories from friends, but this one is as near to a personal experience as I have. Scott

12 years ago on our honeymoon,my wife and I stayed in a little cottage in Door County,WI. Upon arriving at the cottage we started to unpack the van (after breaking in the master suite of course):D
Anywho, while my wife was upstairs unpacking the suitcases, I was busy carrying stuff in from the truck. All of a sudden she yells at me for having the TV on. I yelled back and said I was "NOT watching TV". Then "why is the TV on" she hollers back. "Your hearing things" I replied. Then I heard it to. Would have sworn there was a radio or TV on, but nothing.
A week later we got our film back from the photo processors. Every picture that was taken inside of that cottage had a little cloud or bright spot in it. None of the pictures taken inside or out, other than there had any blemishes on them.

I can't be crazy, can I. After all I am a PACKER FAN.

I used to live in a house that had some kind of "spirits" or "ghosts" in it. Funny thing, it wasnt really scary for some reason. You could hear people (I guess) walking throughout the house on occasion. Maybe once every couple weeks. Not like a "what was that?" noise but definate obvious footsteps moving from one room to another. My first child was a baby when I lived there. The only time out of the two years I lived there that I ever SAW anything ghostly was one night when I was doing paperwork after midnight, the door to my daughters room opened (she was only a few months old at the time) I caught the movement out of the corner of my eye and leaned back in my chair to see what apeared to be an elderly woman standing over my daughters crib, as she turned her head towards me she was gone. I left the door open after that. Funny thing was that house was only a few years old. I now live in a restored 1880s house and have yet to see anything strange.
Also, I had a yearling bull moose once knock over my dome tent while I was in it. That was pretty strange.
Oh ya, I was watching a nice antelope buck once through the spotting scope about a mile away and it fell over dead. I thought that was strange until a hunter walked up from over the horizon to retreive it. I never did here the shot, wind was blowing too hard I guess. That was strange for about ten seconds at least.

My wife and I own a Bed and Breakfast in Manti

The building was originally built in the 1880's and is very old. We have had numerous people tell us that when they are the only ones staying they will here footsteps and doors opening. We have had people come down and say they heard a baby crying all night when there are no babies here, and other strange things. We even had a lady stay one night that was "intune" to those types of things and she stated that should could feel the spirits every where, but they were not manevolent or mean spirits in anyway, and that it was never a bad feeling, just that they were there.

I have yet to hear or see anything, but you n ever know.
