336 5/8 NICE BULL!

I never had anyone put a tape on it but a kid from Utah that said he had scored many of bulls said he would go around 280. Utards!!

This hunt was opening morning a few years back. My buddies and I all worked together and the day before we were trying to figure out where we were going to go. We decided at about 10:00pm and the next morning we were up there about 5:00am. Shot him about 6:15am and we had him hanging in the freezer by 10:00am. Remind you this hunt consisted of three rednecks from Colorado and it was DIY on public land. I am pretty happy with it.

Right at 300. Nice bull. You'll never know until you put a tape to him.

I took him to a highly recommended taxidermist and he guessed him at 320. I think that might be too much.

Some evening when you have time. Take it off the wall and go to boone and crockett's web site and learn how to score him. It's fun and you can print out a sheet and keep in your records. It's www.boone-crockett.org But my guess it may go 300 give or take alittle .

Yeah really, forget the score. Looks like a great bull and a great place with great friends!

Cheers,
pete

I want the best score possible but that should not be what you gauge your success on. It is a great bull! I would say 310-315. So many people say they won't shoot a 350 bull, too small. I say ha a 350 bull is huge! But if you are from Utah like me a 350 bull is just another rag horn..... Just my 2cents

It should crack 300 but if you're creative (mis-measure) you could get it to go as high as 340".
It all depends on who's running the tape and are they scoring the "extras" LOL
Elk are some of the most incorrectly measured antlers. I think it is by accident that the "extras" are added in the score.

Just measure him and tell us.
I would GUESS 310
But what I guess does not matter
Measure him.

295" before the beer after the beer around 340" IMO

i dont see why you dont just take 10 minuts with even a stanley tape measure and get an idea of the rough score. if your concerned about it.

then if you want a really good ideas, take 15 minuts, follow the directions on the b&c website, and get within an inch of what it would be scored at.

I think I'd go with right around the 295 mark.

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

I dont see that bull cracking 300. Without a side view it is hard to tell but it does not look above avg anywhere. To crack 300 it will need nice beams. Curious to me that none of your experts who saw it did not put a quick rough score together. In about 5 minutes with fingers only you could come within 5 inches of the score. Nice bull.

Hard to tell with only one pic, guessing 300-310, put a tape to him and let us know. Congrats on a nice looking bull, Steep country, looks like you had some help getting him out.
