Ok Guys, I promised to post if I was successful. I killed this bull the third morning of the hunt after passing up 4 smaller bulls. He was rutting it up like crazy. I checked the wind got the shooting sticks ready and went in on him. 2 cows appeared 100 yards ahead on a quakie knob. Then just like in my dreams the head of a big bull was to follow. He came in facing us. I was naked eye and knew I'd shoot him. My bud Josh had him in the Leicas and said "Great bull Brad". When he turned broadside I had just mid body back through 2 different openings. Josh grabbed me and threw me to the right 3 feet and there was enough to shoot at. I wasted no time put it on him and squeezed. He lunged forward went down outta site made a huge commotion as he was getting up and going back down. We knew we had hit him hard but had to reload. What a mess I was reloading! He made it down the hill and came to a rest in a small meadow creek where I double lunged him there. At that 40 yard view he had grown and put on another 20 or 30 inches of antler! All I could say for 20 minutes was "Oh Josh!" When we got our hands on him I realized I got the bull I was praying for outta this tag. No broken tines, massive, and beautiful. Score did not matter, he is a pig! For you interested in score though, he scores right at 340. Thanks to everyone who p.m. me. I ended up killing him in an area that I was familiar with from Josh's 2007 hunt. As long as you keep getting outta bed and puttin wear on the boots GREAT things can happen. I'm very pleased with him!

Awesome bull! Congrats!

I don't think there is any other quality
so essential to success of any kind as the
quality of perseverance. It overcomes
almost everything, even nature.

The last picture shows what a great looking bull he is. Glad you got a great bull on this tag that took so long to draw.
