NO I did NOT lose an animal:)haha
but i know some of you had your fingers ready to fire away!!
Anyways my brother has a late tag for the pahvant. We have spent a lot of time on that mtn throughout the years and know it quite well. The wrinkle is the fact that we have never hunted the late hunt there. My brother saw the success of a few late rifle hunters last year and thought that that would be his best chance to draw a tag given the better odds and some of the positive info that he heard from a number of hunters. So he put in and lo and behold, he drew the tag.
We have been scouting quite a bit but have heard that they will be nowhere near the places we have been seeing them come November. This is my first time ever asking for help on this forum. I am usually all about doing it all myself with family and friends. But I think that with a little help from those who have hunted it in the past will give us the best chance to locate some elk and go from there. So if any of you would please extend your help towards me and my brother we would greatly appreciate it.

With your spotting scope, find a high point a half mile away from the base of the mountain, check east of Holden, then east/south of Kanosh, and then east and west (if west of I-15 is on the Pahvant) of Cove Fort.

There are other winter ranges, send roperlt a PM and ask him, he knows the unit better than I do.

I am not sure how to send a pm. So I sent you an email. Please let me know if you received it. I also don't know how to locate other users of the forum so I am not sure how to send an email to roperlt. Thanks.
