Scott A. and I are going to take the boys out Tomorrow for three days. Hopefully we can find a buck or three. The boys are definetly pumped. My son has fired over 150 rounds in the last month. We are ready to rock! Wish us luck!

I wish you boys the best of luck and a safe trip. Have a great time with the kids...

I'm backing out on my "tenative" nm hunt and going to help Bura oon his coues hunt (and scout for archery deer too)

Scott G...

Let us know how you did!

Hope you guys did well. With all the new glass you bought, I hope you have a monster to show for it. Put Snipers goats to a test, make sure they pack out a few deer..... Allen......

Well we made it back safe. My boy took his first buck on Tuesday morning. It was a little 2 point, he made the shot at about 300 yards. I've never seen him so excited. Scotts boys hadn't seen a shooter yet, we left the morning of the last day. Hopefully they hit paydirt. I'll send Scott a scanned picture to Scott so he can post them.

Crazy: Happy that your boy got one, and even more happy about the 300 yard shot. I bet both of you were/are pumped...Congratulations...... Allen......

We pulled out Wednesday afternoon. Never did see but one buck and that was on opening morning and we couldn't get to him and he may not have been legal anyway. We certainly did see the bears though, 3 on Tuesday morning, 2 of those were huge bears. We could have killed anyone of the bears had we had a tag for one. We saw Mule deer does and Coues deer does. The kids had a great time anyway, and Tommy is great company.

I'm off for deer in Wyoming on Saturday and will return next Thursday and then I can concentrate on my December whitetail hunt. Man, this is fun!!

Tommy and Scott...glad you guys had a great time with your kids. i don't have any, but I can relate to the joy of seeing a kid being on their first hunts. I was proud to be a part of Allen's oldest son's first HUNT in Wyoming. It's nice to see the joy they have, with their wonder and innosence...just a great thing.

I'm glad you all have a good time are were able to see a few deer.

Tommy- Congrats to your son...good job! He'll always remember his fisrt buck...

Scott A. Glad you had a good tme and I wish you luck on your Wyoming trip. Take photos and get a biggen! Talk to you soon...

Scott G.

Thanks Guys,

This was definetly a memorable hunt. Scotts buddy Fred and Dad Skip were a blast to talk to, there is a lot of knowledge to be handed down by those folks.

Bura - I hope you find those bucks you've been looking at for sometime now.

PW - Don't give Allen any slack push him until he can't go any further. Then throw his carcass over your shoulder and carry him out. he he

Slammer - Just a chip of the old Block he he :)

Scott - Get that big eastern whitey

I'll be busy getting ready for my Kansas hunt in less than a month.

Sniper: you should have full swing rutting in Wyoming. I hope you shoot a monster. Crazy: you better take a picture of your kids coues, and enlarge it a few times on the copier. That will give you a frame of reference for the size of whitetail you need to shoot for an eastern whitetail. Dont come back and post a picture of a dinky eastern and try and trick us into believing the 120" buck is a coues......LOL.....Hope you shoot a monster..... Allen......
