Yes, it is the elk hunt and I should be up in the mountains for the next week. I had to come home yesterday and grab an extra truck, tire chains for all fours on both trucks, even a snow blower to dig the trailer out. We are burried right now. I somehow managed to get my truck out to get home and gear up. (Had chains for the front tires) Pushing snow with the bumper, Hopefully after we get camp moved to a lower elevation, we can get back at it. It snowed almost 2 feet on us over night on top of the foot we already had.

This is what we woke up to at 7:00 AM, It was still snowing hard when we left for home at 10:30 am. There were trucks off the road with four wheel drives busted. It was a mess! I'm heading back up in a few minutes. I'll update later in the week. Good luck all.

Sitting here at work all I can say is, your having more fun than I am! That snow will melt off soon enough. Go fill that elk tag!

It is pretty hard to prepare for snow when 3 days earlier it was 75 degrees and had been that way for weeks... I pulled my camp trailer up last week and when we got up there Friday, there was about 8 inches of snow, which wasn't a big deal at the time, but my water system was froze solid. It even froze and broke my faucet in the kitchen sink. Hope it all works out for you and you have a good hunt....

Next week it will be in the 60's again, so I would wait on moving the trailer. I sure would be hunting my Butt off.

I hear ya!! Preparing for snow when it is 70-75 Degrees is weird I just hope it leaves as fast as it came. The first week of October is just to early for that crap.
