Just received these two pictures from David and he asked me to post for him.
WOW, is this the way to start off 2007, CONGRATS to you Dave and I am guessing your brother too. Tell us the story on the "Old Mexico" hunt.

I got back a week ago from a six day hunt. I got the heavy buck the first day! It was just the right place right time, as we came up over a hill and saw this buck looking at us. He was 475yd and well hidden, so I suggested we try and push him to me. I went over to a high spot and sent one of the guys to swing around him, just enough to make him move. It took him and agonizing half hour to finally show up. It was a 260yd shot. He scores 229 3/8. They said he had 50 inches of mass.
The wide buck was 36inches wide and heavy. A friend of mine shot him. He scores 211. It took us a whole day to get him, after he crippled him in the morning. It was a great hunt.

Tremendous bucks Blueoak! Congratulations and thanks for sharing them with us.

Right on bud! Sorry we couldnt hook up when I was down there, maybe next time. Its really a shame since we're on neighboring ranches. Give me a call, I cant wait to hear all about it.

Those are some outstanding bucks I can See why you head down there every chance you get.

Holy ####!!! Those bucks are AWESOME! Congrats to the both of you. I love the look of that heavy buck.

PS: Who needs Swaros???? LOVE THE BINOS! ;-)

Thanks guys. I wish everyone could experience the hunting down there. As for the bino's, they are twenty year old leupolds and work great. I did get to use a pair of Leica 10x50 with range finder built in, while I was there and I think I will stay home from Mexico and buy a pair this year!

What else can I say but.....WOW!! Both of those are absolute dream bucks! Congratulations!

No offense intended on the binos Blueoak! On the contrary, I really like seeing the 'vintage' equipment. ;-)

Sincere congrats on a great hunt.

I think I have those same Leupolds

I love them, but if they are the same ones that you have to focus each eye individually, one of my eye pieces isn't turning to focus. they are set for my eyes and nobody else can use them.
