ELK TALKIN

My brother-in-law and I heard a few that were bugling pretty good last night. I was surprised to hear them bugling so much this late in the year. I have heard bugles in the middle to late October but these were bugling like it was the middle of the rut.

As of last week here in Nevada they were still screaming. I even caught a few minutes of fighting which I had never seen before. I hope they don't beat eachother up too bad as my Dad has a late season bull tag.

Got into a screaming herd on the 15th. Just could not seal the deal. That bull was moving his cows throught the thick timber, bugling for 2 hours that morning.

ya i honestly think this is the latest i have heard it also ya dont want them to get beat up to bad good luck to your dad and that tag post pics if you get a kill

Last weekend they were still screaming like crazy when I was spike hunting. We even seen a bull still trying to breed a cow. Last year i even heard one screaming on the opening weekend of the deer hunt. We will see what we hear this year.

Don't be afraid to live for fear of dieing.

cows will go into heat a second and sometimes 3rd time after the "main event". While rifle hunting in eastern oregon 2yrs ago (Oct 31st-Nov 5th) we watched a few bulls "doin the dirty" and heard them all week long singing their beautiful sounds!
