Here is an email i recieved from Senator Enzi regarding the documentary Crying Wolf. IMO its the typical response, agree there is a problem and continue to be way less passionate about it than the voters are. I am somewhat disappointed.

Dear Todd:

Thank you for sending me that documentary. It raises a number of interesting points about the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone National Park and Central Idaho. I strongly support removing the gray wolf from the endangered species list. Wolves are predators, and allowing wolf numbers to grow unchecked endangers our big game herds and the livelihoods of ranchers and livestock owners. The Endangered Species Act (ESA) should be about making endangered and threatened wildlife populations healthy again. I am disappointed that it has become a tool to perpetually protect a species that has already met recovery goals and now poses a threat to our state?s wildlife and agricultural producers.

On April 15, President Obama signed legislation that included measures to delist the gray wolf in Montana and Idaho and parts of Washington, Oregon, and Utah. Wyoming was not included because of how our state?s management plan differentiates between wolves in Yellowstone National Park, their traditional range outside of Yellowstone, and the rest of the state. Governor Mead subsequently worked to reach an agreement with the Fish and Wildlife Service on a plan to move forward. I support the outline of that plan and commend Governor Mead?s efforts. Wyoming must be able to manage wolves at the state level, and I will do all I can to help make that happen.

Sincerely,
Michael B. Enzi
United States Senator

I'm a registered repub and not afraid to say Enzi is a tool. He has very little clout in Congress and has almost been silent about wolves since he took office in 97. Don't expect him to be of much help...
