what kind of affect did the big storms have on the deer in these areas was thinking about buying a landowner mule deer tag in one of these areas but I didnt know how long the snow stayed and how much damage it did to the mulie pop thanks for any input

It depends if you plan on hunting the south 1/2 or the north 1/2 of each of those states. The southern portions got pounded with snow. I have seen lots of dead deer and the antelope are in rough shape too. I would expect a pretty good die-off in the southern units.

I'm still planning on DRAWING a tag for eastern colorado anyway.

Just a heads up and not to burst your bubble....Since it doesn't sound like you know any landowners directly and may have to use a TAG BROKER/PIMP that this is now illegal in Colorado. The DOW is watching the tag brokers/pimps as it is illegal to third party broker tags this year. If you get caught using a tag that was brokered to you, you will get fined, assessed points on your license and any deer you shoot will be confiscated. If you shoot a trophy deer you will be charged with the Sampson Law for using an illegal tag to harvest a trophy. This is what I have been told by the DOW.

I'd suggest buying your tag in KS.
