how wideis this buck?

i really like bucks in velvet. i figure i'm not the only one. this is a buck that my buddy, show_me_your_rack, here on MM missed with his bow last year. how wide do you think he is?

Did you buddy miss the buck this past season? We hunt the same area that you do It looks like. Looking closer, it looks like the notch on the top of the right ear is the same too.

28'??? Are you guys crazy?? That thing is at least 52" wide! At least it was when I missed it.

Truthfully - I think 28 is close but generous. 26 1/2", maybe 27 1/2. He's a beautiful buck though. I am not a fan of bucks in the velvet, but he has great coloring and I wouldn't mind having him on the wall.

This is not the biggest buck that i have missed and by far not the biggest i have seen but he has to be one of my most favorite bucks ever!!! He is a true stud!!!

He is a beautiful buck with nice width, but what impresses me the most is how high his rack is. Nice length, regardless of the width. Main beams look average to a bit better, but sure has nice G2,3,4s.

He's a good example of width not being that important to score. I'd guess his width at about 27" or so.
