Ive been told by the biologist that the Elk move into the extended area by migration. Any idea where they are migrating from? I asume there coming from the East side? When do they start moving in?

Maybe I'm missing something, but it would be helpful to know where you're hunting and what mountain range or area you are calling the "East side".

LAST EDITED ON Nov-06-11 AT 06:02PM (MST)[p]Sorry... I am speaking of the area north of big cottonwood
and south of city creek in Utah.

They start moving in that area around the middle of December!

Your biologist is wrong. Elk (quite a few actually) live on the WF area all year. Trust your boot leather more than a biologist :) I have been IN elk the last 3 weekends.

Go glass--you'll find them. There's always resident elk on the Front.

Yep. . .

There is always more after the hunt ends! You think that it is a coincedence? That being said there are residents there. I have seen elk several times this year. Too bad I don't have a tag!
